News 2015

January 2015

We received the fantastic news from the Kennel Club that our breed will receive challenge certificates for the first time next year. This marks the culmination of hard work and determination by many.

None of this would be possible without those that work tirelessly for the genuine betterment of our breed, which includes members from both clubs, breeders and exhibitors who get involved in schemes and shows. People behind the scenes who take no personal credit such as our our breed Health Co-ordinator. (Clive Fray). Also those who work hard with the welfare and rescue of our breed deserve much credit too.

All of these groups and people are recognised and presumably, this is why the Kennel Club approached the clubs with the proposal to award us championship status. We just thought it was important for us as a club to let you know that it is in fact “everyone” who had a “positive and altruistic” role in the Dogue De Bordeaux world that should be applauded for this milestone in the breed. So we would like to say “CONGRATULATIONS” and “thank you” to you all!

CC Celebration at our club Open Show 8th February 2015’
The committee of the Northern Dogue De Bordeaux Club believe that it is only right that we all celebrate this fabulous news together. We have decided that at our forthcoming show on 8th February 2015 we will hold a 'CC Celebration' and we invite everyone to come along to celebrate together. We look forward to seeing members of all Dogue De Bordeaux clubs at our show to share a glass of fizz and toast our beloved breed.

Februrary 2015

Our February 8th show was a great success, thank you so much to everyone that attended, thank you also for joining us in our Breed 2016 CC celebrations! Huge congratulations to the Winners, all results and photos can be found on our ‘Events’ page on the appropriate ‘show’ page.

The Northern Dogue De Bordeaux Club were very disturbed at the shocking photos of a beautiful female Dogue De Bordeaux that was found in horrific conditions. DDB Welfare have stepped in to help her and now thankfully she is in a foster home.

When the Northern Dogue De Bordeaux Club holds raffles and auctions, it is to help Dogues like this and your generosity of raffle donations and tickets sales is what enables us to do it!

Because of your kindness in past raffles we have been able to donate £150 to for this girl and the committee have personally gave another £70 to make the amount up to £220 which we gave to DDB welfare at our club show on the 8th February 2015.

Thank you for your continued support

We would also like to say a huge thank you to Christopher Quantrill for the very Kind donation of a Dogue De Bordeaux Head Study (included in the gallery below).

Also thank you to everyone who bought a Raffle ticket to win this and because of you all we raised an extra £150 on top of our normal raffle to help more dogues in the future!!

Please enjoy our gallery…..

The Northern Dogue De Bordeaux Club are working with the Kennel club to ensure our members are kept informed on key breed subjects, especially concerning health and the breed watch points the Kennel Club want us to explain in more depth.

We all know the breed on the High profile list but do we all understand why? This pack will include information to the points of concern, how much of a concern they are, why they are a concern and possible solutions and guidance created by The Northern Dogue De Bordeaux Club.

This is information we all need before exhibiting and more importantly deciding to breed our dogues!
As well as information this pack will include lots of goodies!
Inside the pack will contain:

Membership Form
Raw feeding guide booklets
Small bag of Dog Food
Puppy Toy
Car Stickers
Samples of nutritional supplements
Dogue organisations and rescue info

And possibly even more

These packs will be available to new members who join our club free of charge!
They will also be available to breeders who are members of the club for small donation of £2 per pack, to give to their new puppy owners when they breed a healthy litter.

The written information will be made available to anyone of course but the puppy packs will be for our members only (subject to availability, contents may vary) Please bear in mind these packs are not designed for profit and any monies made will go into making the packs better and better with each batch we create.
